Allard J2X registered number MGT 850. September 1951, chassis number 99J2138. RHD. Delivered new to G.P "La Trobe" Shea -Simonds.
Original spec was Ardun OHV converted Mercury. Finished in British racing green with black trim, aero screens and black wire wheels. This was the very first J2X produced by the works.
Competition history known to date started in 1952 with the Silverstone 6 hours team race - 4th place, then a long list of events in the hands of  Shea-Simonds but primarily with Peter Farquaharson, who acquired the car in 1954.
With the car being prepared by Downton Engineering's Daniel Richmond, a fairly extensive programme of events was undertaken over the next 4 years including many circuit races and hillclimbs also the very first Wiscombe Park hillclimb, where the Allard was 2nd FTD behind a single seater.
Over the winter of 57/8 Downton removed the troublesome Ardun engine and transmission and fitted a Cadillac modified with Isky cam, ported heads and Downton fabricated 4xSU carburettor setup. At the same time an Alvis Speed 25 gearbox was also fitted (a popular Allard modification of the day.)
The present owner has owned the car since 1981, having completed a ground up restoration in 2006.
After a spell of sprints and hillclimbs in the 80s the car has resumed a more modest career of sprints and hillclimbs in the last few years, including a 1st in class at Wiscombe Park 50 years after it's last success there.
There is a large in period photgraphic record in the hands of all 4 of the first active campaingners of the car. When restored the owner decided to fit the period Cadillac Lasalle 3 speed gearbox and more modern Holley carbs on a period manifold.
All the original fittings removed will be available to the new owner.
Current road tax and Mot.

£365,000
1964 Renault Dauphine 'Gordini'.  A genuine original Gordini, which has had only 2 owners from new. This is just like the works rally Gordinis that won the 1957 Tulip Rally, 1958 Monte Carlo rally, 1959 Alpine rally and many many others.
It is in the same light blue colour used by Renault for the team cars.
The first owner had the car from new in 1964 until 1985 and the supplying dealer sticker is still visible in the rear window. The second owner has had the car since 1985 and it has been dry stored by him for many years.
It will need thorough re-commissioning but the engine turns over and everything seems to work. It has the alloy Gordini cylinder head, 4 speed gear box and disc brakes on all 4 wheels with the correct Gordini alloy calipers.
The interior is in superb condition with no damage whatsoever and bodily it appears in good condition with minor scratches and bubbling. The car is fitted with Cibie headlamps and genuine Renault full size wheel trims.
All in all a fantastic car for historic competition use or just to enjoy on the road.
£6,750
1969 Lotus 61 Formula Ford 1600 single seater.
This historic Formula Ford spent its early years racing in Ireland until acquired and restored by Peter Denty. It was then prepared by Martin Stretton for Dieter Streve Mullens and subsequently owned and driven for the last 2 seasons by Alan Hicks.
The car has been campaigned with some success in  HSCC historic Formula Ford events. Recent engine rebuild by Fowler Goodwin Motorsport and new cylinder head.
In race ready condition chassis number 61/34/FF comes with spare nose, long range fuel tank and 2 spare sets of wheels and tyres.
It would be a front running car with the right driver and represents a very affordable entry to historic motor sport.
